The rise from Zero to CEO

Many of us, like Pema, start with nothing. Through determination, handwork and motivation, we make something for ourselves. In Pema's case, she rose from a homemaker to become CEO in Bhutan for ANA by KARMA. Starting first as our weaver in 2015, she became our supervisor in 2016 - training, quality controlling the work of other weavers. She also learnt how to organise events, recruit and select new weavers, come up with ideas. Pema also learnt computing skills, basic entrepreneurial skills from Project HOPE sponsored by His Majesty's Secretariat.

We are all very proud of our artisan weavers, especially of Pema. She is our inspiration
