Bendurya is the Bhutanese name for Sapphire. Blue Bendurya is a special design made for the executive. Complimenting a classic office outfit, this scarf is handwoven in Bhutan - some by women who has never seen an office before. Truly a mix of heritage art with contemporary uniqueness. 

Blue Bendurya Scarfs are mostly made by Chuki and her team based in Dechencholing, distinctively marked with a diamond shape motif. Chuki shared that they would like to shine like diamonds in the eyes of their Ana (sisters) when they can make us beautiful gifts.

Each scarf takes at least a few days to hand weave, starting from yarn spinning to tassel rolling. By purchasing one, you are also helping to empower Bhutanese artisan women to use their creative talents to become financially independent. 

Specification: 170cm x 30cm, 100% handmade in Bhutan, from quality Indian yarn. Wash in warm water by hand. Each scarf comes in an organza bag that can be used to keep your scarf or accessories.
